Iksan, the city of jewelry, would like to share special joy.
- I am Director of Jewelry Museum.
- Iksan City has hosted jewelry-themed festival every year as the city of Mahan Baekje Culture where the heartfelt love story of Prince Seodong and Princess Seonhwa has been told.
- Since its opening in 2002, Korea’s only jewelry museum has a collection of 119,000 rare jewels and fossils, making it the pride of Iksan’s 280,000 citizens.
In addition, we are carrying out a jewelry industry promotion plan to establish ourself as an international city of jewelry based on the 30-year old precious metal jewelry industry. - The city of Iksan has a humble but strong dream.
- We hope to revive the brilliant Baekje culture through the popularization of jewelry culture by developing jewelry-themed products. While inheriting and developing the unique traditional culture of our nation and leaving it to our next generations, we hope to create a precious cultural community and turn it into an inclusive city.
- We are also planning a “Special Exhibition of Celebrity Collections”with the collections donated by Korean and overseas celebrities and entertainers.
Your donations and the precious stories contained in them will impress many visitors at home and abroad.
As possessions hold the best value when they are shared and appreciated with many others, we look forward to sharing our love of the collection with many others. - Your active participation would be much appreciated in making the plan of the city a success.
